Thanks, Olga, for posting!

Dear Trish, it's the thought that counts. I would not expect anyone outside of Germany (or Austria or Switzerland) to take part in this project anyway, since it is just the dubbed version. However, some people like me hang around in international forums, lots of Germans live and work in the US, and I wanted to reach those, too.
Personally, I prefer the original, but the dubbed episodes have some nostalgic value to me - it's how I first watched SB, I practically grew up with it. Lane's German voice Detlef Bierstedt is one of our premier actors specialized in dubbing, giving voice also to George Clooney, Jonathan Frakes, and Bill Pullman. His voice is a great choice for Mason (he can't compete with Lane's looks though). A sample can be found at

The current state of the project is that we have about 65 people, so the initiator is thinking about either raising individual cost or splitting the tapes to half-seasons to make it more affordable.
A big German TV magazine has joined the campaign, writing about SB and the tape destruction in the editorial of its current issue.
In any case, looks like something is happening.
