Mason on Mary (poem)

Note: Please forgive my lack of vocabulary.  Mason would be so much more eloquent than I but I tried as best I could.  Thanks.

Mason on Mary
Mary
My Angel

Someone answered my prayers and
Paradise appeared when you arrived

Shakespeare himself could not have
Written a better story than you and I

A beautiful soul
Inside and outside

Expressive eyes
Radiating kindness

Reminders are everywhere
The blue skies are your eyes
I can hear your laughter in the wind
What a lovely sound

What I miss most is your smile
Breathtaking

Day then night
Always filled with memories of us

I close my eyes
And there you are
So close, I can almost reach out
But then you vanish and
I open my eyes to reality

My life before you
Dark
Meaningless
Filled with immeasurable pain
And so very lonely

Life with you
An incomparable existence

I was alone before you came
We became entrenched in each other
And the darkness hid away from us
Shadowing our movements

Life since you left
Interminable

There are no words, Mary
Not one for us

My heart cannot acknowledge your death
And I am bereft without you

I will always love you
Always
